AIMS is over! I think the kids are really glad that we are done. That was a lot of time to just be sitting in our desks. We did get a few other things done this week.
We finished up our maps and globes unit today. The kids completed their centers on the globe, the continents, coordinantes, map key, landforms, water ways and the compass. Thursday and Friday they worked on creating their own map of a make-believe island.
This week was also exciting becasue we began to work on our end of the year class play. I think everyone is really excited. The play performance will be on May 7th, Wednesday. There is a sidewinders baseball game that night that I will be buying group tickets to. I will send a paper note home about this next week, but keep this date open... it will be a fun night.
Last week's poll was, "What was your favorite Social Studies Unit?" Fifteen people voted and the winner with 9 out of 15 votes or 60% is........ Greece and Rome. If you voted for Greece and Rome you can earn 10 extra credit points in social studies by commenting and telling me WHY it was your favorite.
Don't forget to vote on this weeks poll. Ok, so extras credit for everyone who post a comment on this blog. Here are the requierments: post a comment, answer a question from the "Questions from the Week" section, vote on the poll and tell me what you voted on. That is all you have to do and you get a FREE 10 points in Science.
