About Me
This is my 9th year teaching in the Amphitheater School District and my 11th year teaching. I taught 3rd grade at Painted Sky for 7 years. Before teaching there I taught music for 2 years in TUSD at Henry. I am so happy to be a Walker Wolf this year!
I attended college at the University of Arizona and have my bachelors in Education. I am working on my master’s degree this year also at the University of Arizona. GO WILDCATS!!! I am a huge AZ basketball fan. I am an Amphitheater High School grad and I attended middle school at La Cima. In November 09 I achieved my National Board Teaching Certification. I have teaching endorsements in Early Childhood education and Second Language Learning.
I love living in Arizona and have since 1993. I was born in Phoenix but only lived there for 2 1/2 months. Before moving back to Arizona I lived in Nebraska for 9 years and attended Westridge Elementary and Elkhorn Middle School. My extended family lives on the east coast in The Washington DC area. As a kid my family visited there every summer and spent a week at the beach in North Carolina. I love the beach. I still get to go back and visit all the time.
I live in the middle of town, near the U of A. I live with my VERY cute puppy Oreo who is 4. My mom, dad and brother live here in Tucson also. My mom sometimes comes to school and helps in the classroom and my Dad and brother may come by too. My birthday is December 3!
I love monkeys, music and smiley faces. My favorite color is green. I enjoy listening to music on the radio and listening to live bands. Music is one of my favorite things to do. I love to sing songs and play the guitar, flute and keyboard. Many of you know that I play in a band on the weekends!

HEY KENZIE!!!! I am having an ok summer. I am teaching summer school so I am still working hard. Today is the last day and now my summer starts. Happy Late Birthday. I hope you had lots of fun. I hope Terie has a concert soon too. I love watching her sing! It would be so cool to sing on stage with you. Catch you later!!! :)

Hey Elana! You seem very nice too. I can't wait to hear about what it was like in Alabama. I think it is pretty there. I can't believe the 1st day of school is your birthday. We are going to have so much fun and I think everyone would love it if you brought cookies. One rule... the birthday treat has to be store bought. We are not allowed to have homemade treats at school. I love to swim too but I LOVE math and I think after you are in my class a little while you will begin to love math. I can't wait to meet you and hear about all your travels from Denmark to Alabama to Tucson. Have a great weekend.
