FUN FUN FUN!!!
Reading/Science: Today we listed everything we knew about the desert. Then our groups got together and made a web about all the different things each of us knew. We had 6 different categories. Finally we looked through magazines to find pictures of different things in the environment.

Math: In math today we got to look through our math tool boxes. We talked about how these are tools and not toys. Much of our time was spent reviewing how to tell time on an analog clock.

Computers: We all got to try posting to this blog today. We blogged about ways that we are responsible. You can read the blog below. Some students did not type the captchas correct (or the funny looking letters) and their blog got lost. If they did lose their comment they can try again at home or we will try at school later on.

About Me
This is my 9th year teaching in the Amphitheater School District and my 11th year teaching. I taught 3rd grade at Painted Sky for 7 years. Before teaching there I taught music for 2 years in TUSD at Henry. I am so happy to be a Walker Wolf this year!
I attended college at the University of Arizona and have my bachelors in Education. I am working on my master’s degree this year also at the University of Arizona. GO WILDCATS!!! I am a huge AZ basketball fan. I am an Amphitheater High School grad and I attended middle school at La Cima. In November 09 I achieved my National Board Teaching Certification. I have teaching endorsements in Early Childhood education and Second Language Learning.
I love living in Arizona and have since 1993. I was born in Phoenix but only lived there for 2 1/2 months. Before moving back to Arizona I lived in Nebraska for 9 years and attended Westridge Elementary and Elkhorn Middle School. My extended family lives on the east coast in The Washington DC area. As a kid my family visited there every summer and spent a week at the beach in North Carolina. I love the beach. I still get to go back and visit all the time.
I live in the middle of town, near the U of A. I live with my VERY cute puppy Oreo who is 4. My mom, dad and brother live here in Tucson also. My mom sometimes comes to school and helps in the classroom and my Dad and brother may come by too. My birthday is December 3!
I love monkeys, music and smiley faces. My favorite color is green. I enjoy listening to music on the radio and listening to live bands. Music is one of my favorite things to do. I love to sing songs and play the guitar, flute and keyboard. Many of you know that I play in a band on the weekends!

ReplyDeleteHey Abbey! I am home now. I had a meeting after school with a bunch of teachers. It was fun cause I got to see lots of my friends. My doggy, Oreo, is being ok. She was sick today while I was gone so I have to clean a little. Also she likes to chew on my blanket so I have to stop her. Right now she is being very good and chewing on her bone. I hope you have a great night. See you at school!
ReplyDeleteare we doing the cookies tomorry because we dint get to do it to day my dogs are being a good dog i dont get my home work i did it all but sep one but i dont now what to do my dad dosnot get it he said to tell miss/tracy because thats all he can think of it is relly hard do i have to try my best to think of it so i can get a a+ because i like to get good grades
