It was a great week this week!

We are finally getting in the routine of everything. A few kids forgot to blog on Thursday night so I asked them to do it over the weekend. Just a reminder that Monday and Thursday spelling choices homework does NOT need to be printed or emailed. Please just sign their assignment paper indicating that they completed it. If you would like a head start on next weeks words they are posted. Just go to Unit 2.

Don’t forget to sign your child’s assignment sheet. They need to return it on Monday.

Ask your child some questions about this week!
What is a number grid?
What are some of the things they found inside their math tool kit and student reference book?
What weighs more a bean seed or a bean seed that has been watered? How do you know?
What are the steps in the life cycle of a Saguaro Cactus?
What is a setting?
What sound does long i make?
What is a topic sentence?
What does the “e” icon on the desktop of the computer stand for?
How do you add a website to your favorites menu?
What are 3 ways to be safe online?

T-shirts
There are a few kids that have not brought in their information for t-shirts. We are going to try and order the white shirts on Tuesday so please get me their sizes as soon as possible. We will by dying the shirts on September 18th. We need about 5 parents to help so if you are willing please let me know. It will be very easy and I will train you on how to do it. (You will have fun!)

Book Orders
Book orders are due by Wednesday. On the right side of the blog you will see the website link and the log in and password.

Grades
I should have grades updated on Monday. The grades that are posted are as of LAST Friday. Use your last name and 8 digit number to log in. The link is on the right hand side of the blog under links.

Parent Helpers
I finished the parent helper schedule for the next two months. Please check out the calendar on our website. The link is on the right hand side of the blog.

Picture Day
Don’t forget about picture day on Wednesday. All students will have their picture taken for the yearbook. Yearbook orders are included in the picture packet so please be sure to read over that. If you need another packet the office has extra copies.

If your child would like to work on their contract over the weekend they are alway welcome to do that. Many of the kids asked about it.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

    3. In this magazine my favorite part is headliners. Headliners is about cub scouts that accomplish big, huge things. Philip Streich won the Young Scientist award. His discovery could lead to a supercomputer that fits on the tip of your finger, a bullet proof vest less than a millimeter-thick and an elevator into outer space.
