This morning we watched the announcements. After that we talked about Greek gods and goddesses. The Greeks thought that when it rained that it was because of Zeus. Everything that happened was because of the gods and goddesses.
After that we learned about symmetry and how 2 sides have to be equal for it to be symmetrical. During that time Mrs. Reid's teacher was giving her a grade. We went online and saw how things are symmetric and not. We got shapes and folded them to see if they were symmetrical. Then we got to draw the lines for the crease if they were symmetrical. If they weren't we had to put a big X across it.
Then we went to lunch. We ate pizza. Then we went to Recess and everyone signed my pants. :)
Then we graded our Math 4 Today.
In music we learned about high pitches and low pitches and we discussed about our recorders.
Then we went to recess cause we did good for Mrs. Reid.
In spelling we learned about dropping the e in words. We drop e if the suffix starts with a vowel. Like in the word care and ing. You have to drop the e and make caring.
We just started learning about exact nouns. For example when someone writes a movie review they have to write the actual movies name or they won't know what you are talking about and they will be asking what you are talking about.
That was our fun day today.

About Me
This is my 9th year teaching in the Amphitheater School District and my 11th year teaching. I taught 3rd grade at Painted Sky for 7 years. Before teaching there I taught music for 2 years in TUSD at Henry. I am so happy to be a Walker Wolf this year!
I attended college at the University of Arizona and have my bachelors in Education. I am working on my master’s degree this year also at the University of Arizona. GO WILDCATS!!! I am a huge AZ basketball fan. I am an Amphitheater High School grad and I attended middle school at La Cima. In November 09 I achieved my National Board Teaching Certification. I have teaching endorsements in Early Childhood education and Second Language Learning.
I love living in Arizona and have since 1993. I was born in Phoenix but only lived there for 2 1/2 months. Before moving back to Arizona I lived in Nebraska for 9 years and attended Westridge Elementary and Elkhorn Middle School. My extended family lives on the east coast in The Washington DC area. As a kid my family visited there every summer and spent a week at the beach in North Carolina. I love the beach. I still get to go back and visit all the time.
I live in the middle of town, near the U of A. I live with my VERY cute puppy Oreo who is 4. My mom, dad and brother live here in Tucson also. My mom sometimes comes to school and helps in the classroom and my Dad and brother may come by too. My birthday is December 3!
I love monkeys, music and smiley faces. My favorite color is green. I enjoy listening to music on the radio and listening to live bands. Music is one of my favorite things to do. I love to sing songs and play the guitar, flute and keyboard. Many of you know that I play in a band on the weekends!

ReplyDeleteI like doing this I want to do it again sometime. I really like being in your class!!!! I will miss you at the end of the school year!!! You are a funny but strict teacher when you need to be, stay that way!!!! It makes people want to be in your class and be like you!!!
ReplyDeletei like what sydney said about u and i would like to the whats up today sometime it seems fun to do.In our class we need to start righting more of these the last time we did it was 2-18!!!!!!!!Thats a very long time.And learning about cursive is the funnest thing ever!!!!!!!!!Our class is the best class ever and that includes u guys ms.Tracy and mrs.Reid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!u are the best teachers iv ever had!!!!!!!!u guys rock!!!!!!!! see ya tomoro in class
