About Me
This is my 9th year teaching in the Amphitheater School District and my 11th year teaching. I taught 3rd grade at Painted Sky for 7 years. Before teaching there I taught music for 2 years in TUSD at Henry. I am so happy to be a Walker Wolf this year!
I attended college at the University of Arizona and have my bachelors in Education. I am working on my master’s degree this year also at the University of Arizona. GO WILDCATS!!! I am a huge AZ basketball fan. I am an Amphitheater High School grad and I attended middle school at La Cima. In November 09 I achieved my National Board Teaching Certification. I have teaching endorsements in Early Childhood education and Second Language Learning.
I love living in Arizona and have since 1993. I was born in Phoenix but only lived there for 2 1/2 months. Before moving back to Arizona I lived in Nebraska for 9 years and attended Westridge Elementary and Elkhorn Middle School. My extended family lives on the east coast in The Washington DC area. As a kid my family visited there every summer and spent a week at the beach in North Carolina. I love the beach. I still get to go back and visit all the time.
I live in the middle of town, near the U of A. I live with my VERY cute puppy Oreo who is 4. My mom, dad and brother live here in Tucson also. My mom sometimes comes to school and helps in the classroom and my Dad and brother may come by too. My birthday is December 3!
I love monkeys, music and smiley faces. My favorite color is green. I enjoy listening to music on the radio and listening to live bands. Music is one of my favorite things to do. I love to sing songs and play the guitar, flute and keyboard. Many of you know that I play in a band on the weekends!

I told you alot about what I did this summer in my letter to you. I think my favorite thing was cammping on the beach for 3 days. I just love the water and the sand. I love lots of different books. My favorite kids books are the Magic Tree House books. I love history and these books mix real information in history with cool stories. This year in 3rd grade I want to learn all about you guys. I want to learn how I can help you to fill your brains with lots of knowledge. My favorite thing to do on the weekends is play music or watch and dance to live music and bands. One of my best friends plays drums in a band and I like to listen to them play.

1. I went to Jacksonville Florida, drove to S. Carolina. Spent 3 days at the beach in Charleston (Isle of Palms). Found around 15 sand dollars. Drove all the way down to Orlando. Went to Disneyworld for 6 days. My favorite ride in Animal Kingdom was Mt. Everest. In Hollywood Studios I liked the Aerosmith rock and roll coaster that goes upside down and a corkscrew.

ReplyDelete1. I went to my cousin's house in California and went to Wild Rivers water park and the beach, but the sand hurt my feet. I also went swimming this summer with my sister Ashley.
2. My favorite book is Frannie K. Stein series.
3. I want to learn more math and get better at reading and about the weather.
4. After school I like to play with my neighbors and play run with my 2 dogs Scrappy & Sidney.

ReplyDelete1. We drove to California , our car broke down and we stayed in a hotel then visited Los Angeles where my cousins live. I got to go to Wild Rivers and the beach. I also got a new dog, her name is Scrappy. I got it because my aunt was going to give her away, then we took her and Scrappy is happy and likes to play with Sidney.
2. My favorite book is Junie B. Jones books.
3. I want to learn about animals and pets, I love dogs.
4. After school I like to watch cartoons and get snacks and play with my sister Whitney, my friends and dogs.
