About Me
This is my 9th year teaching in the Amphitheater School District and my 11th year teaching. I taught 3rd grade at Painted Sky for 7 years. Before teaching there I taught music for 2 years in TUSD at Henry. I am so happy to be a Walker Wolf this year!
I attended college at the University of Arizona and have my bachelors in Education. I am working on my master’s degree this year also at the University of Arizona. GO WILDCATS!!! I am a huge AZ basketball fan. I am an Amphitheater High School grad and I attended middle school at La Cima. In November 09 I achieved my National Board Teaching Certification. I have teaching endorsements in Early Childhood education and Second Language Learning.
I love living in Arizona and have since 1993. I was born in Phoenix but only lived there for 2 1/2 months. Before moving back to Arizona I lived in Nebraska for 9 years and attended Westridge Elementary and Elkhorn Middle School. My extended family lives on the east coast in The Washington DC area. As a kid my family visited there every summer and spent a week at the beach in North Carolina. I love the beach. I still get to go back and visit all the time.
I live in the middle of town, near the U of A. I live with my VERY cute puppy Oreo who is 4. My mom, dad and brother live here in Tucson also. My mom sometimes comes to school and helps in the classroom and my Dad and brother may come by too. My birthday is December 3!
I love monkeys, music and smiley faces. My favorite color is green. I enjoy listening to music on the radio and listening to live bands. Music is one of my favorite things to do. I love to sing songs and play the guitar, flute and keyboard. Many of you know that I play in a band on the weekends!

Things I have learned:

2. Another thing that I learned is that they did the Olympics to honor the god zues.
3. The last thing that I learned was that a long time ago the Olympics were held in Hippodrome.
Questions I have:
1. why don't they have one sport in the Olympics now?
2.Why did they only let men compete?
What I already knew:
1. I knew that the Olympics did not happen every year.
1.The three things I learned is that in the olympics there is different sports than there is now.The olympions had chariot races.And when they started boxing when one person was down you could still box them.

I knew nothing befor this started
One thing I learned is that they put olive leaf wreaths when they win.They kill oxes and eat them in the opening saramony.They had to have the skill of throwing a javalin cause it tested throwing skills.Why did only boys get to play not girls?Who made up the games?One thing I aill ready new is nothing.
